There are many vehicles that don’t hold their value over time. This is often due to wear and tear on the vehicle and improper knowledge of the vehicle before the purchase. If you purchase a truck that doesn’t hold its value you will end up having to pay double or more by having to purchase more than one vehicle in a shorter period of time. There are a couple of trucks that hold their value over time though. Those trucks are the following:

  • Toyota Tacoma
  • Toyota Tundra

One of the benefits of the basic Toyota Tacomas is that it is one of the few mid-sized pickups around. The Toyota Tacoma has a great horsepower engine with rear wheel drive and a manual transmission. The higher level Tacoma trucks come with an even higher horsepower, automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The choice is up to you which one you choose. It is stated that after 5 years you will get about 61% of the value that you paid for the vehicle.

The Toyota Tundra is a full-sized pickup truck. The basic Toyota Tundra is equipped with a V6 engine. This truck also has an automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. Some of the larger Toyota Tundras has four doors, two row seating, all-wheel drive and even bigger horsepower. It is stated that after 5 years you will get about 52% of the value that you paid for the vehicle.

While there are not many trucks that hold their value over time, these two trucks are among the best of the best. If you are looking for variety in the features of the truck you are going to purchase, then choosing the Toyota Tacoma or the Toyota Tundra will get you just that. Also if you want a truck that will give you over half of the value in which you paid just after a time period of five years, these two trucks will also be your best bet. When purchasing your next truck consider what features you want in the truck, how often you will want to purchase a truck and whether you want a mid-sized or full-sized pickup truck.
